Norman Whiteside pops in for juniors’ sporting dinner

FORMER Manchester United and Everton midfielder Norman Whiteside will be the guest speaker at Poppleton Juniors Football Club’s Sporting Dinner on Saturday, June 30.

Tickets are now available for the night with Northern Ireland’s 1982 World Cup hero and the Red Devils’ 1985 FA Cup match winner and cost £32 each or £60 for a pair.

It will be held at Manor School with top sports comedian Dom Thomas also providing entertainment.

Tickets include a three-course dinner with coffee and mints while the evening will start at 7pm.

SA Sports Coaching, meanwhile, will stage a football course at Poppleton JFC during the February half-term school holiday.

It will be held over three days from February 13 to 15 from 10am to 3pm and is open to children of all abilities aged between six and 14.

Last season’s Bradford City Player of the Year David Syers will also answer questions and sign autographs on the third day of the course, which costs £60.
