Reserve ‘A’ leaders Old Malton St Mary’s maintained their 100 per cent record with a hard earned 2-1 home win over Dringhouses in the York Minster Engineering Football League.

Callum Holmes put the Ryedale side in front and Bryde Freer doubled their advantage.

George Middleton pulled a goal back for Dringhouses, but the hosts held out to record their fifth straight win.

In the only reserve ‘B’ fixture, Heslington chalked up their fourth win on the bounce as they defeated Wilberfoss 5-0.

Lee Topping hit his second hat-trick of the season to add to goals from Danny Mears and Gary Newbold.

Fulford may have played more games than most of their rivals, but they have still opened up an impressive eight-point lead at the top of reserve ‘C’.

Their latest victory was a 2-1 win at Cliffe. Joe Kanarski scored for the sixth game on the bounce to restore parity after Nathan Horner had put Cliffe in front with a penalty. Gary Blaymires hit Fulford’s late winner. Second half goals from Chris Spurr and John Richardson secured a 2-2 draw for Tockwith at Hemingbrough. An Adie Wood strike and an own goal had given Hemingbrough a 2-0 lead.

Carl Thompson and Eric Bladstone netted for Nestlé in a 7-2 home defeat to Thorpe. Only goal difference separates the top three sides in reserve ‘D’ after leaders Selby, who were on York FA Cup duty, were joined at the summit by Civil Service and Huby, who both recorded 4-2 away wins.

Lee Richardson and Declan Parks both converted penalties for Civil Service to add to goals from Mark Lund and Oliver Cooke in their win at Fox.

An own goal, a Tom Horner brace and a goal from Tim Williams earned Huby a 4-2 win at F1 Racing. Sean Taylor hit both the hosts’ goals.

A Jamie Lawrence hat-trick and four goals from Martin Stone were the highlights in Strensall’s 12-1 win at Bishop Wilton.
