CRACKSHOT Copmanthorpe produce arguably their result of the season as they won 4-1 at previously unbeaten Haxby in the York Minster Engineering Football League premier division.

The visitors were always in control as Robin Bedford helped himself to his first hat-trick since August 2008 – also against Haxby.

Mark Featherstone completed the scoring with Chris Dyson replying.

Old Malton extended their unbeaten home run to six games as they defeated Wigginton 4-0, with two goals struck in the final five minutes.

Rob Pinder hit the opener after nine minutes with Liam Cooper doubling their lead on the half-hour.

But victory was not secured until late strikes from Ryan Cooper and Dave Bell.

Kartiers, who had to rely on a late goal to defeat Wilberfoss earlier in the season, needed an equaliser two minutes from time from Gareth Roberts to salvage a point in the return encounter.

John Heads and Olly Newby had earlier put Wilberfoss in front.

Danny Franks took his tally for the season to 20 after he scored four for Huntington in their 6-4 win over York St John.

Pete Laidlaw and Tom Shirley added the other goals with James Sharp, Graham Bell (2) and Olly Waite replying.

Mark Woodward and Paul King both scored twice for Hamilton Panthers in their 4-1 home win over Dringhouses for whom John Sellars scored.

None of the top three sides in division one managed a win.

Leaders Malton & Norton’s run of five straight wins was checked by a 3-3 draw at Thorpe United.

Simon Collins’ early goal for the visitors was cancelled out by Craig Welford but Chris Hodgson restored their lead before the Selby side went in front through Shane Singleton and Will Ramsey.

Brian Howe levelled for Malton ten minutes from time.

Second-placed Post Office were hammered 5-0 at home by Tockwith, which included an outstanding hat-trick from Graham Hutchison.

Pocklington suffered their first defeat in 11 matches crashing 6-0 to a rampant York RI.

Shaun Stockdale, Carl Shepherd, Darren Sellars, Lee Bartlett and Dave McNichol (2) were on target.

Amotherby & Swinton’s Tom Audsley hit a hat-trick in the opening 20 minutes at Ouseburn but the hosts were level before the break with goals from Tom Parker, Tim Sweetland and Tim Lambert.

Audsley scored his and Amotherby’s fourth after the interval but they had to settle for a point as James Lambert hit a late equaliser for the hosts.
