CHELTENHAM Festival hero Flying Tiger gets the nod in the Unibet Elite Hurdle at Wincanton today.

The Nick Williams-trained youngster won the Fred Winter at Prestbury Park last March before having his limitations exposed a shade by star juvenile Defi Du Seuil at Aintree.

He heads into this Grade Two handicap with a fitness advantage over some of his rivals, having performed with plenty of credit when fifth in Ascot's Cumberland Lodge Stakes little over a month ago.

Williams has been among the winners in the last couple of weeks, which is encouraging, and Flying Tiger should give us a good run for our money.

TOP NOTCH can make a successful reappearance in the Read Noel Fehily At 188Bet Hurdle at Aintree.

The diminutive six-year-old did fantastically well as a novice chaser last term, winning four times – including a Grade One – before finding only Yorkhill too strong in the JLT at Cheltenham.

His rating of 157 over hurdles and fences makes him tough to place, but this conditions event looks a fine opportunity for him to visit the winner's enclosure for an 11th time.

TOP TUG can make his experience count and claim victory in the Betfred November Handicap at Doncaster.

The mile-and-a-half contest is the traditional feature as the curtain comes down on the Flat turf season on Town Moor and another maximum field of 23 runners will go to post.

The unexposed Royal Line is likely to be popular with punters as he bids to provide John Gosden with a record sixth victory, but a mile and a half on soft autumnal ground will be a decent test and at more rewarding odds, the ultra-consistent Top Tug is preferred.

Formerly trained by Sir Michael Stoute before joining Alan King, pictured, in the spring of 2016, the six-year-old chestnut has won four times on the level and once over hurdles overall.

The son of Halling has enjoyed another fine season, adding to his tally at Goodwood and most recently finishing a fine second under a big weight at Leicester.

The winner that day, Dance The Dream, also lines up at Doncaster, but Top Tug is marginally better off at the weights and is capable of reversing the form.

TERUNTUM STAR can continue his progression in the Betfred Mobile Wentworth Stakes.

Kevin Ryan's sprinter has really flourished in the second part of the season, following up a narrow verdict at Ripon with an authoritative display in a lucrative event at York last month.

VINTAGE FOLLY has only made the track on three occasions in 2017, meaning she is fresher than most heading into the Betfred TV EBF Stallions Breeding Winners Gillies Fillies' Stakes.

DOUBLE ROSS can defy the burden of top weight by winning the 188bet.co.uk Veterans' Handicap Chase at Sandown tomorrow.

The 11-year-old has been a grand servant for Nigel Twiston-Davies over the years and showed at Chepstow last month that there are still races to be won with him.

Might Bite is the big name in action in Esher ? and he should not let the side down in the 188Bet Future Stars Intermediate Chase.
