JACK Andrews leads the Novice Riders Championship by four points ahead of the final Yorkshire area point meeting of the season.

Andrews, who works for Cherry Coward Racing at Dalby near York, maintained his lead with a victory on Seeyouincourt in the Club Members Conditions Race at last weekend's Bilsdale meeting in Easingwold.

Jack Jordan remains his biggest rival for the title with only one meeting to go - at Sedgefield racecourse on May 28.

Jordan kept up the pressure with victory on Artisan Man in the Young Horse Maiden race

Lottie Crane leads the Ladies Open Championship and made all to win by four lengths on Quobilai owned by her father, Ivan in the Hunt Race.

Quobilai was the first of six favourites to strike for punters.

There was a fourth win of the season for Rumble of Thunder, ridden by Alice Dawson, in the Mixed Open Race

Lough Inch, ridden by Sam Davies-Thomas, won the Club Members Race for ten year olds.

Zandino gave owner and trainer Tracey Corrigan her first win of the season in the Restricted Race.

Favourite Bentons Lad and Will Milburn set out to make all but Zandino and jockey Elliott Brookbanks took the lead three fences from home to secure an eight length victory.

"I don’t have any gallops so I train him on grass verges and through the forestry," said Corrigan afterwards. "And he has just had his teeth done and that’s definitely made a difference."

Monarch’s Glory and Billy Garrity won the Open Maiden Race.

Winning owner and trainer Andy Nicholls purchased the horse from Eddie Barry in Ireland and gave credit to Will Milburn saying: "Will’s put a lot of hard work into this horse and taken him hunting."

Little Big Town and Phil Greaves took a crashing fall at the last but both horse and rider walked away unscathed.

The final fixture of the season is the South Durham at Sedgefield Racecourse on Sunday May 28.
