THEO'S Charm can make an immediate impact on his first try over fences in the SIS Novices' Chase at Plumpton.

Nick Gifford's six-year-old has already demonstrated his liking for this particular venue having notching both of his two hurdles victories at this track last term.

He seemingly does not put his best foot forward at just this track either, as he also scored a cracking fifth in Grade Three company at Ascot back in January before his form petered out with a disappointing effort at Cheltenham in April.

That run has clearly left no mark though as Theo's Charm deserved plenty of credit after chasing home Kruzhlinin in the Grade Three Fixed Brush Hurdle at Haydock last month, being beaten just two and a half lengths by a more battle-hardened rival.

He did not really seem to thrive over the near three-mile trip that day so a drop in distance makes more sense here, particularly as he will be tackling fences for the first time.

Khezerabad can spearhead a double for Nicky Henderson in the opening J H Builders Novices' Hurdle.

The four-year-old was pretty highly tried last term, finishing third in the Adonis at Kempton before tackling Grade One company when pulled up at Aintree.

Henderson has lowered his sights a bit this campaign, when he came off second best to a stablemate at Cheltenham in October before finally getting his head in front at Sandown in November.

Turned out at Listed level later that month, Khezerabad found the hike in class beyond him, although the soft ground on Merseyside would not have been ideal that day.

Better conditions are anticipated here and Khezerabad can take full advantage.

Stowaway Magic should also be in the money for the Seven Barrows team in the Hepworth Brewery "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle.

A £100,000 purchase back in April 2015, Stowaway Magic has not really lived up to that price tag yet, although his Warwick win back in May showed he is capable of landing at least a minor event.

Stowaway Magic returns from his summer break here, but can make his presence felt.

Crievehill looks likely to take some beating in the Davies Chemist Novices' Hurdle at Ffos Las.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained four-year-old made a perfectly satisfactory debut over obstacles at Ludlow last month, ultimately having to settle for second with a mistake three out not helping his cause.

The Twiston-Davies yard enjoyed an extremely good afternoon at Cheltenham on Saturday and that first experience will not have been lost on this decent prospect.

High Command looks in a prime position to complete a hat-trick in the Betway Marathon Distance Handicap at Wolverhampton.

The High Chaparral gelding did not see the racecourse as a two-year-old and made just one outing during the spring, finishing down the field when a hot favourite at Doncaster.

Trainer Roger Varian seemingly decided his charge needed more time as we did not see him again until September and his first couple of efforts after a break were not too inspiring.

However, there was a big improvement on his handicap debut at Newcastle in October, finishing a promising third, and he raised his game once more to open his account at Southwell the following month.

A 6lb hike was nowhere near enough to stop him following up at the same venue last Tuesday and it is no surprise to see him turned out swiftly under a penalty as he goes in search of the hat-trick.

His four rivals are not in great form and it will be disappointing if he is unable to get the job done once more.

Varian and jockey Jack Mitchell could well complete a double with Tarseekh in the sunbets.co.uk Download The App Maiden Stakes.

The son of Kyllachy was doing his best work at the finish when fourth on his racecourse debut at Haydock and was beaten just a length into third on his return from an absence of almost six months at Lingfield last time.

He should strip fitter now and sets a decent standard in what is not a great race.

Doctor Bartolo can make it third time lucky in the 32Red Casino Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

The Charlie Hills-trained juvenile looked a winner waiting to happen after filling the runner-up spot on his Newmarket debut in September and he was cramped odds to go one better at Dunstall Park just over a fortnight ago.

While he ultimately came up short, the winner, Red Gunner, looks useful enough and Doctor Bartolo shaped as though the step up in distance he encounters on his return to Wolverhampton will suit.
