CORAL Eclipse winner Hawkbill has been officially added to the entries for next week's Juddmonte International at York.

Godolphin, who own the American-bred colt, paid the £75,000 supplementary entry fee needed yesterday to join the list of contenders at this final stage.

Hawkbill has raced only eight times and won his last six, including the Eclipse when finishing ahead of Irish raider The Gurkha and Roger Charlton's Time Test.

He joins a star-studded line-up for the International that also includes Coronation Cup winner Postponed (the highest rated horse on the planet), and Aidan O'Brien's Highland Reel.

With a prize pot of over £963,000, the International will be the richest race in Knavesmire history when it takes place on Wednesday August 17, the opening day of the four day Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival.

The other horses entered are Almodovar, Arab Spring, Dariyan, Exosphere, King Bolete, Mutakayyef, My Dream Boat, Sir Isaac Newton, The Grey Gatsby, US Army Ranger, and Wings of Desire. Declarations will be announced 48 hours before the race.

Meanwhile, Royal Ascot winner Across The Stars leads the field in the final stage entries for the £160,000 Betway Great Voltigeur Stakes, also on Wednesday August 17.

The other horses entered are Idaho (who has placed in both the English and Irish Derbies), Cook Islands, Harrison, Housesofparliament, Imperial Aviator, Kellstorm, Muntahaa, Stellar Mass, The Major General, and Unicorn.
