DAI HARRAILID, who got off the mark at Haydock last month, can double his score at Nottingham this afternoon.

Trained by William Haggas, who has had a wonderful year with his powerful Newmarket string, the two-year-old fulfilled the promise of his first two races when scoring handsomely at Haydock by a length from Replinish after being sent off the odds-on favourite.

This is a strong race, with Rioca bidding for a third success and Mark Johnston's Bathos going for an incredible five-timer. But in Dai Harrailid, they cross swords with an unexposed improver. A bold bid is expected from the Haggas raider.

Graham Gibbons, lucky to escape uninjured from a dramatic fall at Catterick yesterday after his mount swerved and crashed through the rails when heading for a likely victory, has good prospects of returning on a winner aboard ENTITY in the 32Red Casino Handicap.

Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, the three-year-old filly got off the mark under Gibbons by three lengths at Pontefract three weeks ago. It would be no surprise to see her follow up.

Richard Fahey, on the mark with Early Bird at Catterick yesterday, can follow up with a couple more two-year-olds winners on this card.

Sanaadh runs in the first division of the EBF 32Red Maiden Stakes, while stablemate Dacoity lines up in the second leg half an hour later. Both horses have bright prospects.

SANAADH ran green and found himself on his back foot on his debut at Beverley last month when he finished unplaced. With that race under his belt and facing an extra furlong here, he makes appeal to take a marked step forward and is napped to come out on top.

DACOITY shaped well on his first outing at Pontefract, doing all his best work in the closing stages to finish second. This step up to six furlongs should suit him and he makes appeal, despite the presence of the equally promising Jack Nevison.

CORNBOROUGH should go well for Sheriff Hutton trainer Mark Walford in the 32Red Sport.com Apprentice Handicap.

Fifth at Pontefract last time when sent off favourite, it had previously rattled up a sequence of placed efforts.

Anna Hesketh has the mount on Cornborough, who steps back up to a mile and a quarter here. Opportunity may come knocking this afternoon.

Over the sticks at Ludlow, DUKE STREET will be a popular choice in the opening Welcome Back To Ludlow Juvenile Maiden Hurdle.

Now with Dr Richad Newland, the three-year-old did well on the Flat with Mark Johnston and shaped with promise to finish third on his hurdling bow at Market Rasen recently. He can gain winning brackets this time.

Dan Skelton is a trainer to have on your side and he can land the UK Forest Products Association Novices' Hurdle with SAMTU.

The four-year-old won well at Uttoxeter last month and looks capable of climbing the hurdling ladder as the season unfolds.

Also worth noting at Ludlow are Oliver Sherwood's Southwell winner LEMONY BAY (3.15) and the Charlie Longsdon-trained HEPIJEU (4.25), who won by a wide margin at Stratford four weeks ago.
