RICHARD Fahey can continue in the spotlight at Pontefract this afternoon after celebrating 200 winners in a season for the first time in his illustrious career yesterday.

The Malton trainer, who last Saturday saddled a sensational six winners, which included the Ayr Gold and Silver Cups and the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury, gained his double-century at Redcar with Dark Devil, who carried the colours of former York racecourse chairman Nicholas Wrigley, also joint-owner of three of Saturday's winners, most notably Don't Touch in the Gold Cup.

JAN VAN HOOF can add to Fahey's extraordinary tally of winners in one of Pontefract's feature races, the £10,000 Download The Racing UK IPad App Handicap over six furlongs.

Tony Hamilton's mount, a winner on this course earlier in the season, finished fourth and was promoted to third in a hot handicap at the Curragh 11 days ago won by his stablemate George Bowen.

The lightly-raced four-year-old still has more to offer as a sprinter and, well enough drawn with a single-figure stall in this 17-runner race, Jan Van Hoof can show his rivals the way home.

AMBER MYSTIQUE could be another winner for Fahey in the ebfstallions.com Frier Wood Maiden Stakes.

Jack Garritty's mount has run two creditable races in similar company, the latest on Wolverhampton's Tapeta surface. She may find this a suitable opportunity to break her duck, although somewhat ironically one of her dangers will be ridden by Fahey's number one jockey Hamilton, who has been booked to partner Sir Michael Stoute's Yangtze.

Garritty, who has a fine chance of winning this season's apprentice title, has chance of a double aboard the consistent RASHASH in the 100% Racing UK Returned To Racing Handicap. This five furlongs should suit Roger Varian's Newmarket raider.

COTTON CAMERA also has good chances for the all-conquering Fahey in the British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Nursery Handicap.

Although yet to get off the mark, the juvenile has run some good races in defeat, including in handicap company. She stays well and with Sammy Jo Bell reducing her weight by 3lb, she has a fighting chance of breaking her maiden.

The first day of Newmarket's prestigious September meeting is highlighted by the £50,000 Somerville Tattersall Stakes in which last month's York winner TASLEET makes plenty of appeal.

A well-backed favourite on Knavesmire, he landed a richly-endowed sales race in workmanlike fashion. Tasleet's previous placed form in Group races was very creditable and this step up to seven furlongs should suit him well. He faces some formidable rivals, including Irish raider Sanus Per Aquaam and Lawmaking from France, but a bold show is expected from this likeable colt.

Paul Hanagan is on board Tasleet and he should also enjoy a good ride from MUSTAJEER in the NGK Spark Plugs Maiden Stakes.

The Barry Hills-trained colt finished fourth at Doncaster's St Leger meeting and left the impression that he's a colt with plenty of potential. He could bump into one or two useful newcomers here, but he promises to take a hand in the finish all the same.

The £40,000 Jockey Club Rose Bowl has attracted a useful field of stayers and although Frankie Dettori's mount Flying Officer is sure to prove popular after his winning reappearance at Salisbury, preference is for GALE FORCE, who will be partnered by Freddie Tylicki.

James Fanshawe's four-year-old has won two of her four races this season and was most recently successful in good style at Goodwood. She is napped to oblige again.

Fanshawe can complete a double on his local track with UP IN LIGHTS in the 1stsecuritysolutions.co.uk Handicap.

The mount of Tom Queally, Up In Lights has won two of his three starts this season. Most recently triumphant at Yarmouth, she can keep pace with the handicapper by defying an 8lb higher mark.
