NORTH Yorkshire trainer Karl Burke, who saddled Odeliz to secure a memorable Group 1 win at Deauville in France on Sunday, lowers his sights at his local Catterick course this afternoon and can hit the target with Liberal Angel.

The mount of Joey Haynes, the three-year-old contests the Racing UK Profits Returned To Racing Handicap and is fancied to make the most of bottom weight.

After a series of creditable placed efforts, Liberal Angel got her head in front at Newcastle last time when narrowly beating Cliff in a driving finish. She has been raised only 3lb for that success and is selected to oblige again.

Swaheen, equipped with a first-time hood, is taken to bounce back to form in the £10,000 2015 Catterick Twelve Furlong Series Handicap Qualifier.

A runaway winner at Ripon two starts ago, Julie Camacho's talented three-year-old was raised 10lb for that success and was far from disgraced on his latest start when fourth at Doncaster.

With able claimer Joe Doyle taking a valuable 3lb off Swaheen's back, he can resume winning ways in a race in which Tim Easterby's recent winner Multellie and Sir Michael Stoute's Plane Song are among the dangers.

Stoute has an even stronger chance earlier on the card with Mushariff, the mount of Graham Lee, in the Racing Welfare Family Day Maiden Stakes.

The three-year-old has raced only twice and stepped-up on his unplaced debut effort when beaten only two short heads into third place at Salisbury a fortnight ago. This looks a good opportunity for Mushariff to break his duck.

Anyone taking into account Perfect Peak's latest outing when she finished last of six runners at Newcastle will not be fancying her chances of lifting the Book Now For Saturday 19th September Handicap.

But it may be worth remembering that Mick Easterby's charge had previously won over this course and distance. She is worth another chance to return to that sort of from with Graham Gibbons on board.

Up at Musselburgh, Wor Lass aims to make it five wins off the bounce Rebuild Handicap.

Trained by Iain Jardine, the seven-year-old mare has been in the form of her life in recent weeks and has struck-up a good rapport with North Yorkshire apprentice Anna Hesketh, who has ridden her to her last three wins. Life is getting tougher for Wor Lass as her rating risees - she is now 6lb higher than her last win - but her confidence is sky-high and she will not easily be beaten.

Stillington trainer Ruth Carr came close to winning the David Chapman Memorial Handicap - named after her grandfather - at Ripon recently wth Lexington Place.

The gelding finished second to Silvanus, who had also won the race twelve months earlier.

Lexington Place now lines-up for the £10,000 TDC Waste Management Handicap. It looks a tight race, but this in-form sprinter looks sure to be involved in the business end of proceedings.

Richard Fahey, whose horses are in tremendous form, has double prospects with Stylish Boy (2.00) and Belle Travers (2-30), both of whom finished close runners-up on their latest starts.

Also worthy of attention is nap selection Just Paul (4.00), who has winning form on this course and who was beaten only three-parts of a length into fourth place at Ripon on his latest start.
