IT'S not very often that Her Majesty the Queen has a runner at Catterick, but the Royal colours will be carried around the North Yorkshire course this afternoon by MOTION PICTURE.

Trained at Newmarket by Michael Bell, whose horses are in fine form, Motion Picture has yet to run in a handicap or indeed on turf. Her three runs to date have all been on an artificial surface, most recently when she finished runner-up at Wolverhampton over an extended mile.

Motion Picture steps up to a mile and a half for the Racing UK Anywhere Available Now Handicap. The hood she has worn in all her three races, and which suggests she may not be the most straightforward of horses, is in place again and Louis Steward, who won last year's Ebor Handicap at York, is in the saddle. A round of applause will doubtless by delivered by racegoers if the Queen's famous silks are carried to victory.

David O'Meara, who pulled-off a Group 1 win at Newmarket last week with Amazing Maria, chases smaller prizes at Catterick and can land a double with JEBEDIAH SHINE and TAKAFOL.

The former was a winner at Thirsk three starts ago. She failed to build on that when fourth at Musselburgh next time but she produced a good display in defeat at Chester last Friday evening when chasing home the Mark Johnston-trained Midlander, who was completing a hat-trick of wins.

Jebediah Shine has had a busy time lately but if she is none the worse for her efforts she should take plenty of catching in the St Teresa's Hospice Handicap over five furlongs. Sam James rides.

David Nolan will be aboard Takafol in the Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival Maiden Stakes. The three-year-old has proved frustrating to follow but this is not a race that will take a lot of winning, and opportunity may finally come knocking for Takafol this afternoon.

Enthusiastic owner Jo McHugh, landlady of the Angel Inn at Easingwold, has every chance of figuring among the winners with BEST TRIP in the Handelsbanken Handicap over six furlongs.

Trained by Marjorie Fife, the gelding has been in good form of late. A winner here over seven furlongs in May, Best Trip has since failed by only a short head to beat Harwoods Volante at York over this trip. Well drawn in stall two on this tight, turning track, Best Trip is expected to go well with Fergal Lunch taking over from York-based Robert Winston, who is currently sidelined with two spinal fractures after taking a heavy fall at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago.

Old-timer DHAULAR DHAR is fancied to show his junior rivals a clean pair of heels in the Betfair Novice Flat Amateur Riders' Handicap.

Now a 13-year-old career with 142 races and 13 wins under his belt, Jim Goldie's popular gelding has been in good form. He won at Thirsk on his penultimate start and has since finished a creditable second at Musselburgh.

He will be teamed-up with Matt Ennis, who works for Malton trainer Richard Fahey, and who is seeking his first winner.

At Sandown's evening meeting, Mark Johnston can draw first blood with SHOWSTOPPA in the X1 Catlin Handicap.

The sprinter battled on well to win at Ripon last week and although that was a slender success, Johnston's horses have a knack of obliging again once a success has been landed. Joe Fanning has the mount on Showstoppa, who carries a 6lb penalty.

MYTHICAL MOMENT is another runner with good prospects of defying a penalty.

Trained by William Haggas, the three-year-old won easily in maiden company at Carlisle last week. She is fancied to follow up under Pat Cosgrave in the Unibet Distances Betting Every Race Handicap.

Also worthy of attention are TIGERS TALE (7.40), who shaped well at Salisbury last time, and the promising HAROLD LLOYD (8.15) in his first handicap and napped to open his winning account for Henry Candy.
