TONY McCOY, in winning action during the last two days at Catterick and Doncaster, maintains his Yorkshire link this afternoon when riding at Wetherby, where his mounts include two horses who ended up on the deck on their latest starts after being sent off favourite.

Red Devil Boys, whom McCoy partners in the Star Sports Cheltenham Preview Night Novices’ Chase, was brought down by a fallen rider at Doncaster when looking like winning last month, while Arctic Ben, a runner in the totepool Medieval Day - Saturday 31st January Handicap Chase, tipped-up at the fourth fence at the same Doncaster meeting.

Red Devil Boys is a useful horse. He won both his races over hurdles last season at Doncaster and is well regarded within the in-form John Ferguson yard. He is fancied to chalk up his first chasing success this afternoon.

Arctic Ben, trained by Henry Daly, had preceded his Doncaster exit by finishing a good second at Uttoxeter on his seasonal bow.

He can be forgiven his latest tumble and should go well here, given a clear round.

Kayf Blanco could be another winner for McCoy in the Watch On 3 Devices racinguk.com/anywhere Handicap Hurdle.

Graeme McPherson’s six-year-old has shaped well in two races this season at Market Rasen and Bangor. A bold bid is expected.

Indian Voyage is awarded the nap vote in the featured Download The New Racing UK IPad App Handicap Chase.

Winner of his comeback race at Carlisle, Maurice Barnes’ stable star lost no caste in defeat when fourth over two and a half miles at Newcastle last time.

There is still plenty more to come from him and, back over the minimum distance here, and with course-winning form, Indian Voyage can show his rivals a clean pair of heels under Daragh Bourke.

Also worthy of attention are Wetherby are Warren Greatrex’s pair, Bells ‘N’ Banjos (12.35), who is expected to relish the step up in distance in the opener, and Centasia (2.50), a good winner at Doncaster last month.

The £45,000 William Hill Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle is the richest race at Kempton and although Tea For Two, the mount of smart conditional rider Lizzie Kelly, will have plenty of supporters, preference is for Warrantor, who is chasing a hat-trick of wins for Greatrex.

The gelding has won at Chepstow and Market Rasen this season, and, although raised a further 8lb, has every chance of keeping pace with the handicapper.

Balder Success looks the best solution to the three-runner william.com Chase, a Listed race, after chasing home Special Tiara in a Grade 2 race on this course a fortnight ago.

Alan King’s gelding is a very capable horse on his day - he won a Grade 2 race here last season and also a Grade 1 contest at Aintree’s Grand National meeting in April - and he will surely be hard to beat in this lesser company. Wayne Hutchinson takes the mount.

Also worth noting are Come On Laurie (1.35), a Uttoxeter and Towcester winner this season and Her Majesty the Queen’s Open Hearted (3.15).
