MICK EASTERBY, who is preparing for his annual point-to-point at Sheriff Hutton on Sunday, sends Pivotman to Kempton today with an excellent winning chance at the twilight meeting.

The seven-year-old, who has won two of his last three races, will be partnered by Easterby’s granddaughter, Joanna Mason, in the £10 Free Bet At 32RedSport.com Amateur Riders’ Handicap.

Pivotman’s latest Wolverhampton success, achieved in the hands of Harry Bannister, was gained by a comfortable margin.

The handicapper has raised him 6lb for that victory, but the North Yorkshire raider is fancied to follow up and make his long journey worthwhile.

Charlie Appleby, who trains for Godolphin, is enjoying a productive time on the all-weather and the Newmarket handler has double prospects with Hollie Point and History Book.

Hollie Point, who showed consistent form on the turf last season, won narrowly at Newcastle last September, but lost the race in the stewards’ room, making her eligible once again for maiden races.

She has to prove herself on a synthetic surface, but she ought to go well in the 32Red On The App Store Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.

History Book has to be given a chance in the 32Red.com Handicap on the evidence of her latest half-length defeat at Lingfield.

Her weight will be reduced by 5lb claimer Ali Rawlinson.

Archie’s Advice is expected to go well in the 32Red Casino Handicap.

The gelding has taken well to racing on an artificial surface and has won his only two all-weather starts, both on this course.

There may be more to come from him yet.

Keith Dalgleish, Scottish trainer of Archie’s Advice, also has a winning chance with Les Gar Gan at Lingfield’s afternoon meeting.

The four-year-old lines up in the coral.co.uk Best Odds Guaranteed On Racing Selling Handicap and should go well after finishing runner-up in claiming company at Wolverhampton early last month.

Joe Fanning who also rides Archie’s Advice, will complete a double stint and also team up with Les Gar Gan.

Stuart Williams has his horses in excellent form and Welease Bwian is napped to give the Newmarket trainer another winner in the Unibet Offer Daily Jockey/Trainer Specials Handicap.

The mount of his useful apprentice Aaron Jones, Welease Bwian comes here on the back of a course and distance win three weeks ago.

He is fancied to oblige again in this five furlong dash.

Also worth noting are Bowsers Bold (1.50), who showed promise last year and who looks capable of winning in maiden company for trainer Marcus Tregoning, and Sheila’s Buddy (2.50), who lines up in the feature race and has the benefit of course and distance winning form.

Lingfield today: 1.20 Les Gar Gan, 1.50 Bowsers Bold, 2.20 Welease
Bwian (NAP), 2.50 Sheila’s Buddy, 3.20 Varsovian, 3.50 Major Muscari.

Kempton today: 4.35 Hold The Star, 5.10 Hollie Point, 5.40 History Book, 6.10
Pivotman, 6.40 Archie’s Advice, 7.10 Spowarticus.

Today’s other meetings: Ludlow and Taunton.
