MEGAN CARBERRY, set to be crowned the winner of the 2014 Go Racing In Yorkshire Apprentice Championship at Doncaster on Saturday, can figure on the victory rostrum at Nottingham today.

Carberry teams up with Ingenti and Chris Wilson's recent winner is fancied to follow up in the second division of the ROA Gold Nottingham Racecourse Award Winners Handicap.

Ingenti came good at Catterick last week when beating Pavers Star by half a length. She goes well with some cut in the ground and with conditions in her favour again, the eight-year-old is expected to make a bold bid.

Carberry will be on the receiving end of a presentation at Doncaster's final Flat turf meeting on Saturday for her victory in the GRIY Apprentice Championship.

Although there is still one race in the series still outstanding, Norton-based Carberry, who is attached to Brian Ellison's yard, is way out in front on points and can not be caught.

A Go Racing In Yorkshire sponsorship, a cash prize and £500-worth of equipment from Wendy Hoggard's White Rose Saddlery, will go the way the Carberry, who will also have the opportunity to pen a regular blog on the GRIY website next season.

The £25,000 Thanks For Everything Pip Kirkby Handicap is the feature race at Nottingham. It's a tightly-knit affair and, while recent Pontefract winner Mooharib is worthy of serious consideration, the vote goes to Gm Hopkins.

Trained by John Gosden, Gm Hopkins failed to see a racecourse last year as a juvenile, but he has wasted no time this term, winning his first three races and losing no caste in defeat when finishing fourth to Homage at York on his latest start.

Gm Hopkins is already a winner over this course and distance. He has the opportunity to chalk up another this afternoon. Rab Havlin has the mount.

David O'Meara, pictured, can land the opening Book 2015 Nottingham Hospitality Now Nursery Handicap with Snow Cloud.

Danny Tudhope's mount, a Redcar winner on her second start has since finished runner-up here and at Haydock. She has a good opportunity to today to double her winning tally.

Richard Guest has done well with Polar Forest who has won three of his last four starts, including one here.

The Wetherby trainer has shrewdly booked the accomplished Simon Walker to partner Polar Forest in the AJA Gentlemen Amateur Riders' Handicap. He promises to take plenty of beating.

At Warwick's jumps meeting, the £12,000 Weatherbys Private Banking Novices' Chase is the feature race on card and one which presents Vibrato Valtat with the opportunity to make his chasing debut.

Paul Nicholls' gelding proved a useful horse over hurdles and reached a rating of 140. His latest outing over the smaller obstacles was a creditable third-placed effort at Cheltenham less than three weeks ago. With his fitness assured, he should be a tough nut to crack.

Prettyasapicture won well at Exeter two starts ago, but was a beaten favourite last time when stepping up in distance at Wincanton.

Trainer Alan King has wasted no time dropping Prettyasapicture back to two miles again in today's Follow Us On Twitter @warwickraces Handicap Hurdle.

The five-year-old can get back on top and is awarded the nap vote.

Also worth noting are The Ould Lad (1.30), trained by the in-form Tom George and a good second at Huntingdon on his comeback, and high-class chaser Mendip Express (3.05), who takes his chance in a novices' hurdle.
