ATTAGLANCE is set to return to the scene of his finest hour.

The eight-year-old, who triumphed in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival two years ago, has been entered by Norton trainer Malcolm Jefferson in the £160,000 Paddy Power Gold Cup on November 15.

Attaglance was fourth in the Grade 3 contest a year ago.

Jefferson's star re-appeared on the track on September 27 when fifth in a Listed Chase at Market Rasen. He said: "We are aiming Attaglance at the Paddy Power Gold Cup. I was happy enough with his run at Market Rasen in September. I thought it was a good run back, and I have been happy with him since.

"He is suited by better ground - the better the ground the better he is. If it's good ground that would be perfect but if it's on the soft side of good that should be fine for him too. Proper jumping ground is fine."
