THE Giant Bolster could start off his season in Wetherby’s £100,000 Grade 2 bet365 Charlie Hall Chase on November 1.
After a few lacklustre efforts last term, David Bridgwater’s stable star won the Grade 2 Argento Chase by seven lengths at Cheltenham in January.
The nine-year-old, right, one of Britain’s best chasers, then returned to Cheltenham for the Festival in March and was just beaten three-quarters of a length into third by Lord Windermere in the Gold Cup.
Gloucestershire-based Bridgwater reported: “Everything has gone really well since he has come back in. If he is ready and we are happy, then he will start at Wetherby.
“He has been a wonderful horse and would be for any trainer or owner, let alone a small yard like ours. It’s great.”
