Brian Ellison returns to Ireland is search of another big pot when he saddles two in the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh on Sunday.

The North Yorkshire handler has already enjoyed great success on his trips across the water this season, with Baraweez taking big-money prizes at both Galway and Leopardstown.

Ellison is hoping to scoop more euros with Zeus Magic and Zaidiyn set to compete for the 100,000 euro prize fund.

Zeus Magic, a winner twice this summer, was taken out of an intended engagement at York on Friday and Ellison explained: "He basically got cast in his box. Hopefully he will run, that's the plan. We declared him as there's nothing else really for him now and he'll travel in the morning.

"He's in great form and wants a bit of juice, which hopefully we will get."

French import Zaidiyn has failed to shine on two starts for the yard to date, but Ellison is hoping easier ground will prove the key.

"He's had a couple of runs on ground too quick, but is a real nice horse. The step up in trip should suit him."

Johnny Murtagh runs an interesting contender in the two-mile marathon in the shape of Eye Of The Tiger.

The former German Group Two winner was famously part of a Barney Curley-linked gamble at the start of the year and has had two runs since joining Murtagh.

The nine-year-old looked unlucky on his first start for the yard when third at Ffos Las and again filled the same position at Dundalk last month.

"His last two runs have been good and he's been knocking on the door. He looked to stay on well the last day, so the two miles should suit," said Murtagh.

"He's in good form and hopefully he'll run a big race."

Clondaw Warrior has blossomed on the level since joining Willie Mullins and looks a leading contender, despite a 13lb hike for winning at Galway.

Hidden Universe, who was well backed to score for Dermot Weld over this trip at the Festival meeting at Ballybrit, looks another big player, while Tony Martin runs the versatile Ted Veale.
