Dream Win, who bounced back to form with a 28-1 success at Wolverhampton ten days ago, returns to the same course tomorrow from his North Yorkshire base with an excellent chance of completing a quick double.

Trained at Norton by Brian Ellison, the six-year-old provided young rider Paul Booth with a memorable victory on his latest start and, in an added bonus, as that success was gained in an apprentices’ race he escapes a penalty tomorrow.

Once rated in the mid-70s, Dream Win is currently on a mark of only 60, which makes him particularly attractive, especially now he has proved himself in such good heart. As a winner without a penalty, he can oblige again with Silvestre de Sousa taking over the steering in the 32RedBet.com Handicap.

Ellison has a couple of runners in the concluding 32RedPoker.com Handicap and, although de Sousa is aboard Travis County, stablemate Pelmanism is preferred under Tom Eaves.

Travis County is 0-3 on his all-weather efforts, while Pelmanism is proven on an artificial surface with three wins from his seven starts. A creditable runner-up on his latest start, he is taken to provide Ellison with a second winner on the twilight card.

Mick Easterby has Desert Vision at the top of his game and the Sheriff Hutton gelding promises to be hard to beat in the 32Red Handicap.

Graham Gibbons’ mount has won two of his last three starts here and had a length and a half to spare over Super Say on his most recent outing. He has been raised a further 6lb for that success, which makes life tougher for him, but he is plainly at home on this Polytrack circuit.

Easterby also has a fighting chance of winning the opening 32Red.com Nursery with Cymeriad, for whom he has booked champion apprentice Amy Ryan.

The speedy juvenile finished a respectable fourth here last month, only being caught well inside the final furlong after attempting to make all the running. Forcing tactics are again likely to be employed.

Malton-born trainer Michael Wigham, a former jockey, is a shrewd operator with his small string at Newmarket and he has an interesting horse in Norwegian Reward, who came good in fine style at Lingfield recently.

A 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent a quick follow-up with de Sousa again booked for the mount. He is awarded the nap vote.

The step up to an extended mile should suit Lingfield runner-up Elusive Thought (5.50), while the ultra-consistent See The Storm (6.50) promises to be popular with punters after his close-up second to Galantry at Lingfield last week.

At Lingfield, Lanarkshire trainer Keith Dalgleish, who recently went through the half-century mark of winners for the year – a modern-day record for a Scottish trainer – can add to his tally with Wolverhampton winner Lucy Bee (12.10) in the opening race. Jimmy Quinn has the mount on the lightly-weighted juvenile.

Dual Southwell winner Seemenomore (1.10) has every chance of completing a hat-trick for Newmarket trainer Michael Bell, especially with apprentice Thomas Brown reducing the gelding’s weight by a handy 7lb.

Lowther (2.20), once rated in the 100s, now operates off a mark in the low-70s and finished second here last week, which was an improvement on earlier efforts. He is worth considering on a course where he has been a winner in the past.
