PICKERING Town travel to Barton Town tomorrow as they look to get their Northern Counties East League premier title push back on track.

The Pikes' 10-game winning run was ended last week in a 2-1 loss at leaders AFC Mansfield before they drew 2-2 at in-form Penistone Church on Wednesday.

A first-half Ryan Blott penalty and a Joe Danby strike on the hour mark looked to have Pickering heading for comfortable victory before two goals inside as many minutes from Ashley Ellis and Kieran Ryan rescued a point for the hosts.

The result leaves the Pikes 10 points off the summit and two behind second-placed Pontefract Collieries, who have played three games fewer.

Tomorrow's hosts, 16th-placed Barton, were the last team to beat Penistone Church and have enjoyed a fair run of form too, picking up maximum points from their last five games and averaging almost three points per fixture.

The Swans were 2-1 winners at Staveley Miners Welfare last week thanks to late goals from Bill Law and Josh Tennant.

Harrogate Railway Athletic remain in a precarious position, two points above the drop zone and with four games more played than Hall Road Rangers following a 2-0 loss at Pontefract.

Their game last night at home to Worksop Town was postponed, and tomorrow the Rail host Albion Sports.

Knaresborough Town have won promotion from division one with six games to go after their 1-1 home draw with second-placed Eccleshill United.

If Eccleshill fail to win tomorrow at home to Retford United, Knaresborough will be crowned champions whatever the outcome of their visit to Glasshoughton Welfare.

Play-off chasing Selby Town last night played at home to Dronfield Town in the first of a busy five-day schedule.

Tomorrow, the Robins host Swallownest before meeting Farsley Celtic in the West Riding County Cup final on Tuesday night.
