PICKERING Town left it late to notch a notable home victory in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

It looked as if the Pikes would have to settle for a point against fourth-placed Pontefract Collieries – who are still the side most likely to put pressure on leaders AFC Mansfield – until Billy Logan bagged a winner in the 90th minute.

Eli Hey and Kane Reece put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute and on the hour, only for Bradley Freer (29) and George Bissett (81) to equalise for the third-placed hosts.

Harrogate Railway Athletic made it back-to-back victories with an even later goal, with Lincoln Adams netting a stoppage-time penalty in a 4-3 scoreline at home to Thackley.

Jamie Bairstow (2) and Shane Hamilton were on target earlier for The Rail, with Jerome White, Mike Garrod (85th minute) and Jordan Hines (90th) netting for Thackley, who trailed 3-1 with five minutes left.

In Division One, Selby Town are up one place to fifth after a 2-1 home victory over Hallam.

Liam Flanagan put Town ahead in the 55th minute, with Thomas Roebuck equalising four minutes later before Ryan Gothard's 70th-minute winner.

Leaders Knaresborough Town triumphed 3-0 at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, courtesy of goals from Brad Walker, Rob Youhill and Ben Cohen.

Scarborough Athletic are back on top of Evo-Stik Division One North after a 7-0 hammering of visitors Kendal Town.

Goals came from Michael Coulson (2), James Walshaw, Max Wright, Lewis Sugden, Nathan Curtis and James Beadle.

The Seadogs are level with South Shields on 51 points, and both sides have a goal difference of plus 34, but Scarborough have scored two more goals (59 against 57), although Shields have two games in hand.

Joe Leesley's 93rd-minute equaliser ensured that Harrogate Town remain in the Buildbase FA Trophy after a 1-1 draw in the second round at Clarence Park against National League South side St Albans City.

City took the lead in the 66th minute when Tom Bender climbed highest to head into the bottom left-hand corner from a set-piece, and looked good value for their lead.

With almost the last kick of the game, Town substitute Dom Knowles held the ball up and was able to tee up Leesley to smash it home and send the tie to a replay tomorrow night [Tuesday].
