PICKERING Town have been drawn at home to Newcastle Benfield in the first-round proper of the Buildbase FA Vase on Saturday, October 7.

The Pikes are second in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division, while the north-easterners are 14th in Northern League Division One.

Knaresborough Town and Harrogate Railway Athletic have both been drawn away after notching victories on the road at the weekend.

Town, who are leading Northern Counties East League Division One, make the short trip to Garforth Town, who are ninth in the Premier Division.

Railway, who are 20th (third from bottom) in Garforth's division, head to Sunderland to face Ryhope CW, who are tenth in the Northern League.

Knaresborough triumphed 2-1 at Jarrow Roofing Boldon CA, who are six places below Ryhope.
