BOUYED by a 3-2 Bank Holiday victory in what was a niggly affair at Brighouse Town, Tadcaster Albion will be full of confidence when they continue their Evo-Stik League division one north season tomorrow.

The Brewers, who are eighth in the early-season table, are at home to rock-bottom Goole, who have lost all four of their matches so far to be one of three teams - the others are Ossett Albion and Radcliffe Borough - without a point.

Brighouse made a stunning start in the sunshine on Monday, with Jacob Buchanan and Aaron Martin putting them 2-0 up inside six minutes in easy fashion, and the visitors also lost skipper Andy Milne to a nasty elbow injury that needed subsequent hospital treatment.

But the dismissal of ex-Taddy keeper Chandler Hallwood at the beginning of the second half following an off-the-ball clash with former team-mate Tom Corner dramatically swung things in the Brewers' favour.

Conor Sellars converted the subsequent penalty, and two goals in 60 seconds from Aiden Savory, who had replaced Milne, and Danny Frost completed the second-half turnaround in the 76th and 77th minutes.

Harrogate Town and Brackley, who are first and second in Vanarama National League North, meet at the CNG Stadium.

Both clubs have won six matches and drawn one, with Town having won 2-0 at Blyth Spartans on Monday.

Terry Kennedy scored at the end of the first half and Josh Falkingham netted in stoppage time, after the visitors had had Jack Vann sent off some ten minutes earlier.

Scarborough Athletic, beaten 3-1 by leaders South Shields on Monday, take a break from Evo-Stik division one north action this weekend.

The Seadogs are at home to Workington, who play a rung higher in the Evo-Stik, in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup, with £3,000 going to the winners.

Matty Pattison and Luke Sullivan put South Shields 2-0 up inside 16 minutes, only for Nathan Valentine to halve the deficit two minutes later after good work by Dave Merris and Michael Coulson.

However, the Seadogs had Max Wright sent off after kicking a ball into the crowd and hitting a fan in the face after disagreeing with an assistant referee's decision.

Sullivan added his second in the 52nd minute in front of a crowd of 1,667.
