FORMER York City midfielder Ben Godfrey returned to his home city to present awards at the annual York & District Schoolboys presentation night.
Godfrey, still only 19, had played for York schoolboys before joining City's youth system.
He was sold to Norwich for an undisclosed six figure fee in January 2016 and made his Championship debut last season.
Three young players - Lucas Wilson, Danny Allinson, and Joe Crosby - received the 'Schoolboy tie' for representing the District for five seasons from U11 through to U15s.
Godfrey was presented with an honorary trophy by chairman Brendan Qualter.
