DRINGHOUSES juniors enjoyed a York & District FA Cup double at Bootham Crescent as their under-16s and under-14s both won finals on the same night.

The U14s beat Selby Town 2-1 in the final of the York FA U14s Minor Cup before their U16s saw off Kirkbymoorside 4-2 in the York FA Senior Minor Cup final.

The triumphs further underlined Houses' strength in youth football, after their U19s retained the York FA U19s League crown.

Meanwhile, Easingwold Town Hawks lifted the York FA U15s Minor Cup after beating Pocklington Town on penalties, and Bishopthorpe White Rose Black pipped Strensall Tigers Yellows 3-2 in the York FA Junior Minor (U13s) Cup final, also at Bootham Crescent.

In the Senior Minor (U16s) Cup final, sponsored by Pavers Shoes, Dringhouses had the better of the first half and went ahead on 18 minutes as Luke Livingstone turned and shot home from 18 yards.

It was 2-0 10 minutes into the second half as Kain Rogerson dispatched a penalty, but Dan Ward pulled a goal back for Kirkbymoorside on the hour and Matt Tarry fired in a loose ball in the area to level the scores.

However, Dringhouses started to put pressure on again and Rogerson's 25-yard free-kick regained them the lead, before Harry Bissett headed home to seal matters in the last minute.

In the preceding U14s Cup final, sponsored by Construction Marine Ltd, Dringhouses were ahead inside three minutes in bizarre fashion - Harvey Stephenson punted the ball from his own half and watched it bounce over Selby Town keeper Charlie Precious and in.

Nathan Gorst levelled from 18 yards as both teams created chances, but the young Robins could not make the most of early second-half pressure and instead, on 68 minutes, Dringhouses' Liam White-Lawton scored a 35-yard winner, firing into the top corner via Precious’s fingertips.

Easingwold Hawks and Pocklington drew 2-2 in the U15s Minor Cup final, sponsored by York MotorSports Village, before the former won 6-5 on penalties.

Lucas Wilson put Easingwold ahead with a close-range header after only three minutes, and both sides cancelled each other out until 27 minutes when Pocklington levelled through the unmarked Will Ella.

Ten minutes into the second half, Charlie Longbottom crossed for Wilson to put Easingwold 2-1 up but Ella got his second for Pock on 68 minutes to force the shoot-out. It went to sudden death before Easingwold finally prevailed.

Bishopthorpe WR came from behind to win the Junior Minor (U13s) Cup final, sponsored by Pavers Shoes.

Both sides had good chances in the first quarter but it was Strensall’s Alex Forbes who broke the deadlock when he picked up a loose ball 20 yards out and found the net via the underside of the crossbar.

Aidan Cardow missed a great chance to equalise, shooting wide with only the keeper to beat, but he made no mistake a minute later and then, with a carbon copy goal, he put Bish 2-1 up at the break.

On 47 minutes, Sam Rolfe had only the keeper to beat but unselfishly passed to Sam O’Donnell to side-foot Bish into a 3-1 lead.

Oliver Kilvington pulled a goal back with 15 minutes to go and Strensall piled on the pressure, but Bishopthorpe held out - clearing off their goalline with seconds remaining.
