HAMBLETON claimed the Fastpack Ltd York Sunday Morning League division two crown with a stunning 4-0 victory over title rivals Selby.
Leading 1-0 at the break, Hambleton netted three times in the second half to seal an immediate return to division one – where cup winners York Nomads jumped into second spot.
That 6-1 triumph over Thorpe United was their final game of the season.
Josh Archer scored a hat-trick while Chris Bilton, Liam Flanagan and Mike Hattee also netted for the victors. Nathan Dinsdale fired Thorpe’s only goal.
Hounds lined up a potential second-placed finish after beating Bubwith 2-0.
A goal in either half – from Darren Jackson and Steven Frost – sealed three points for Hounds, who also played Cliffe in a midweek fixture, winning 12-0.
Alan Jackson and Sam Cable both claimed hat-tricks, while goalkeeper Dave Bramley scored twice, with Jordan Emery, Shaun Hesslewood and Christopher Jackson also on target.
