DRINGHOUSES are set to retain the York FA Under-19s Football League crown.
They put themselves on the verge of the title with a 4-1 win at Poppleton thanks to doubles from Charlie Squires and Tom Rushworth. Paul Dodd replied.
With one game to go, second-placed Rawcliffe can mathematically nick it but they are three points behind and way down on goal-difference too.
They beat Tadcaster 6-1 last time out, Adam Wilson (2), Luke Robinson, Callum Haigh, Niall Smallwood and an own goal finding the target, Ethan McPherson replying.
Easingwold Hawks and Wilberfoss drew 2-2, Josh Cryer and Jack Peel netting for Hawks and Dan Harvey and Dan Gibney for the visitors.
Wigginton edged York RI 4-3 thanks to goals from Harry Clapham (2), Joe Manship and Ryan Medd, with Callum Atkins (2) and Luke Emmerson responding. Clapham has now scored 37 of the Grasshoppers' 59 goals.
