YORK Nomads stayed on course for a cup treble following a 10-0 thrashing of NUR.

Super-sub Joe Dale netted four times in the final of the York FA Sunday Morning Senior Cup at Tockwith with Chris Bilton bagging a brace and Sam Wildwood, Andy Simpson, Dan Andrew and Cam Mulhearn also on the scoresheet.

Victory saw Nomads add to their North Riding County FA Cup success with the League Cup now next in their sights.

After a tight first quarter of an hour, Wildwood left NUR keeper Jamie Ward stranded following Liam Flanagan’s cross into the six-yard box to make it 1-0 on 20 minutes.

The scores might have been levelled immediately but Gary Stephenson’s header was well saved by Tom Young, before Nomads doubled their lead when Bilton was sent clear by Mulhearn on the half-hour.

Simpson added a third before the break, finding the open goal with his light touch from a corner.

Nomads went further ahead on 65 minutes as Dale fired home from 20 yards and, moments later, an Andrew cross made it 5-0.

Bilton got his second on 71 minutes as he curled in a 25-yard shot, while Dale was on target again with a edge-of-the-box drive.

Dale went on to complete his hat-trick from an 82nd-minute tap-in and, for his fourth, beat two men in the penalty area before finding the net.

The rout was completed in the final minute by Mulhearn before the presentation of the trophy, sponsored by York Motorsports Village, was made by York FA president Roy Ellwood.

Braces from Tom Rushworth and Rob Hutton, meanwhile, saw Dringhouses win the York FA Under 19s Cup for a fourth consecutive year after beating Rawcliffe 4-1 in the final, which was also staged at Tockwith.

Skipper Niall Smallwood had earlier given Rawcliffe a second-minute lead with a neat flick.

Dringy equalised on the quarter-hour mark as Rushworth latched on to a Hutton through ball.

The latter then curled a 25-yard free kick into the roof of the Rawcliffe net just before the break.

After a scrappy restart, Rushworth grabbed his second goal and Hutton completed the scoring with five minutes to go.

The Jack Butcher Trophy, also sponsored by York Motorsports Village, was presented by York FA U19s League secretary Geoff Hartley.
