POCKLINGTON Town continued their chase for the York Minster Engineering League division one title with a 3-0 win at Kirkbymoorside.

The victory takes them two points clear of Poppleton United who enjoy the advantage of a game in hand.

A Mark Benton goal was enough to give Harrison Signs a 1-0 win over Heslington and move them up to fifth in the table.

Joe Thompson hit a brace for York St John – but it wasn't enough as Rawcliffe stormed to a 6-2 home win with goals from Jordan Bean (2), Stuart Jenkins, Simon Wilson, Jack Blackmore and Henry Wharton.

Heworth Green visited Huby United and took all three points thanks to a Ross Nelson strike which proved to be the only goal of the game.

The win puts Heworth four points clear of Rufforth United and Huby as the promotion race moves towards its climax.

Matthew Ward's goal for Cawood earned them a point and a 1-1 draw at Howden, for whom David McMahon struck.

Daniel Zimer (4) and Patnyk Zimer stole the show as Moor Lane battled to a topsy-turvy win over South Milford.

The hosts found themselves level at the break, with both sides notching twice in the opening period.

South Milford then moved into a 4-2 lead before the Zimers combined to forge a brilliant comeback for the hosts.

In division four, Malt Shovel once again wrestled pole position from Bubwith White Swan, assuming top spot on goal difference thanks to a 7-0 hammering of Swinton.

Their total was made up of strikes from Brad Hall (2), Ryan Glover (2), Dec Coulthard, Charlie Harvey and an own goal.

Wetherby Athletic sit third following a 1-0 win at AFC Crayke. Pollington won 3-1 at LNER Builders.

With Reserve A title favourites Huntington Rovers out of action, Dunnington applied the pressure, defeating Tadcaster Magnets 6-1.

Harry Todd and Tom Anderson both hit doubles while Pilly Gabitzu also struck. Danny Ashton provided the goal of the game, completing a fantastic solo effort from inside his own half.

Wigginton Grasshoppers remain third after a brace from Danny Franks along with a Drew Brabbs strike gave them a 3-0 win over basement side Dringhouses.

Thorpe United retained fourth place with a 2-1 win over Old Malton St Mary's while Malton and Norton sit three points behind them after a 3-0 triumph over Church Fenton White Horse.

Steve Hoggard (2) and Kingsley Daffern provided the firepower while keeper Chris Bingham saved a penalty to ensure the home side kept a clean sheet.

Alastair Irwin hit a brace for Easingwold Town to hand them a 2-1 triumph over Bishopthorpe United in Reserve B.

Harry Cartledge, Adam Burton and Dan Davidson found the net for Osbaldwick as they won 3-1 at hoe to Harrison Signs. Glynn Wellsby hit Signs' consolation.

Poppleton United moved a step closer to the Reserve C title with a 4-1 win over Civil Service. Carl Shepherd struck for the away side but they were overpowered by goals from Milne (2), Holmes and Blondrage.

York RI continue to give chase in second place and won 3-0 at home to Fulford. Conner Larner (2) and Luke Richardson netted for RI.

Heworth Green remain third following a 4-2 win at Cliffe. Kestor Witt, Steve Fratson and Ben Norris (2) bagged in a Heworth comeback after Grundy and Ransome had given Cliffe a two-goal lead.

Wetherby Athletic and Selby Olympia played out a 3-3 draw.
