PICKERING Town closed the gap on leaders Cleethorpes in the Northern Counties East League premier division with a 5-0 win against struggling Barton Town Old Boys.
Striker Billy Logan marked his return to the side with two goals and both Alex Robinson and Nick Thompson found the net as the Pikes took a 4-0 lead by halftime. Lewis Taylor added the fifth in the 90th minute.
Cleethorpes, who beat Billingham Town in the FA Vase fourth round, are now nine points clear but have played two more games.
