BUBWITH Swans ended Malt Shovel’s 100 per cent record in the Fastpack York Sunday Morning League.

The Division One leaders had previously won eight games out of eight but were held to a 2-2 draw at Bubwith who are now seventh in the table.

Second half goals from Luke Durham and William Ramsey secured the point for Malt Shovel.

Second placed Wigginton Grasshoppers closed the gap on the leaders to three points thanks to a 6-1 victory over York Nomads Society.

Jamie Willstrop opened the scoring for Wiggington before Terry Taylor scored twice after the interval.

Matt Hattee pulled a goal back for Nomads but Michael Clancy, Neale Holmes and 16-year-old Harry Clapham wrapped up a comfortable win.

Brayton travelled to NUR and both teams went home with a point after a 3-3 draw.

Matthew Ward scored for Brayton after 12 minutes but NUR led 2-1 at the interval after goals from Danny Cotton and James O’Donnell (pen).

Kyle Wilks volleyed an equaliser then O’Donnell scored his second penalty of the game to restore NUR’s lead.

Substitute Adam Gilliland score Brayton’s third goal.

In Division Two, leaders Selby Olympia beat Elmpark 2-1 thanks to goals from Tom Lazenby and Ben Scholey.

Bramham made it four wins in a row when brushing aside Haxby United 11-1.

The score was only 1-0 to Bramham at half-time but they kicked on in the second half and hit a further 10 goals. Both Adam Fields and Josh Wilson scored hat-tricks, Mike Tasker scored a brace, while Tom Blakely, Henry Blythe and Chris Plews were also on target. Gareth Harton scored for Haxby.

Knapton Lions secured their first win of the season beating Rawcliffe Crusaders 5-1. Knapton led 2-0 after 20 minutes through Declan Richardson and Mike Horne. Danny Stannard added a third before Rawcliffe pulled a goal back. Tom Lang scored with a powerful header before Stannard wrapped up the victory.
