PICKERING Town midfielder Nick Thompson is a doubt for tomorrow's Northern Counties East League premier division clash with AFC Mansfield after a motorway crash.

Thompson and his girlfriend both escaped serious injury when his vehicle was involved in an accident on the M1 last weekend but he did sustain a neck injury which would have ruled him out of the midweek match at Retford had the game not been postponed.

That call-off saw Paul Marshall's men drop one place to fifth, leapfrogged by Bridlington Town following the seasiders' 2-0 win at Mansfield.

The promotion-chasing Pikes were done a favour, though, by Harrogate Railway, who ended a run of four straight defeats by bagging a point in a 4-4 ding-dong draw at high-flying Albion Sports.

The Rail trailed thrice to goals by Dan Facey, Devonte Morton and Omar Habeeb, but equalisers came each time from Chris Ovington, David Brown and Stephen Bromley.

A Brown penalty then gave Railway the lead for the first time with 68 minutes on the clock but Facey's second goal made things all square again.

Railway have no game tomorrow.

In division one, Selby Town face a tough task to arrest a run of four straight defeats as they host second-placed Grimsby Borough.

Play-off-chasing Knaresborough Town host Dronfield after bagging a good point in a 1-1 midweek draw at leaders Penistone Church, Colin Heath cancelling out Dale Kelly's opener for the hosts.
