Evo-Stik Division One North: Ossett Albion 2 Tadcaster Albion 5

TADCASTER Albion ended their mini-winless run in emphatic style at Ossett Albion on Saturday.

Billy Miller's men got off to the perfect start, breaking the deadlock after just two minutes.

Stand-in full back Jason Mycoe pounced upon Rob Youhill's flick-on and drove the ball home at the back post.

The home side rallied and levelled ten minutes later when James Eyles dug the ball out of his feet and despatched it into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

The Brewers always looked the more dangerous going forward and regained the lead 12 minutes from the break.

Conor Sellars is renowned as a free-kick specialist and he showed why once again, arrowing the ball in from 20 yards to leave Ossett goalkeeper Jordan Bradshaw stranded.

But the hosts came out in the second half with their tails well and truly up and equalised once again through Eyles' penalty kick.

The award of the spot-kick was massively controversial, however. The home side wanted a penalty originally for handball against Mycoe, which wasn't given, but one was issued though seconds later.

The next goal proved to be crucial to the result, and Youhill's teasing cross from the right was turned into his own net by Oliver Yates.

This goal seemed to kill off Ossett as Taddy stormed to victory in the final few minutes.

Youhill was again the provider for Tom Corner, who glanced in his ninth goal of the season.

And it became a nap hand in injury time when Sellars cut inside and hammered in his second to seal the the much-needed three points.
