TADCASTER Albion will continue to be without former York City goalkeeper Michael Ingham for their Evo-Stik League first division north trip to bottom-of-the-table Burscough tomorrow.

Ingham is expected to be ruled out until next weekend as he recovers from ligament damage in his foot, with Garry Stevens continuing between the sticks for the Brewers.

Centre-back Greg Anderson is also targeting a comeback within the next fortnight following his knee operation.

Burscough are still yet to taste league victory this term, but held Taddy to a goalless draw at Ings Lane last weekend and have also shared the spoils with two other top-ten teams in Lancaster and Clitheroe.

Brewers boss Billy Miller is, therefore, taking nothing for granted, saying: “They are a robust outfit and dug in to get a result last weekend.

“If we’d have taken a couple of chances, then the floodgates might have opened, but we didn’t have too many clear-cut opportunities. At home, you would hope they open up a bit more.”

Eighth-placed Taddy have still only lost one home game in the league this season, but have only registered a single victory on the road - last tasting success on their travels at Pontefract Collieries on September 3 in the FA Cup.

On that statistic, Miller added: “I think it’s the hardest thing in non-League football to get wins away from home, especially in midweek when people have been working and you have to travel, but we showed how fit we are with our two late goals at Ramsbottom on Tuesday night.”

Josh Barrett and Adam Baker were both on target in the last five minutes as Albion forced a 3-3 draw at a Ramsbottom team captained by former Salford City striker and BBC One’s Class of ’92 TV documentary star Gareth Seddon.

The visitors suffered an early blow in that contest when they fell behind with just over 60 seconds on the clock.

Stevens initially saved Ryan Salmon’s header, but the home forward pounced to slide in the opener.

The scores were level, though, when Connor Sellars sent a 25-yard rocket into the top corner with his weaker left foot.

But Grant Spencer helped Ramsbottom nudge ahead again with an even more spectacular strike from 30 yards.

The hosts went on to add a third six minutes before the break courtesy of a Salmon header.

But, on 85 minutes, Barrett netted for the first time this season, after reacting quickest to Josh Greening’s corner which bounced back into play off a post.

In the dying embers, Josh Grant’s searching ball was then headed into the air by Andy Milne and latched on to by Tom Corner, who appeared to be wiped out inside the penalty area.

However, the attack continued and Baker volleyed home to complete the comeback.

Second-placed Scarborough Athletic will be hoping to get back to winning ways after their run of four straight triumphs was ended by a 4-2 midweek defeat at Ossett Town.

The Seadogs travel to mid-table Trafford, who defeated Prescot Cables 5-1 on the same night with Aaron Burns hitting a hat-trick, taking his tally to six in three games – all victories – for tomorrow’s hosts.

In National League North, eighth-placed Harrogate Town travel to Salford, who lie just a point and one position behind them.
