TADCASTER Albion host Farsley Celtic tomorrow in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.

The Brewers were handed a home tie with their Northern Premier League rivals after beating Pontefract Collieries in the first qualifying round.

Only three weeks ago, the two sides fought out a goalless draw in a league game at the i2i Stadium.

Winning clubs at this stage of the competition receive £4,500.

Winger Josh Barrett: said “Farsley is a tough draw for us. They are a good organised team but we are just as good if not better. Anything can happen in the FA Cup but I do expect goals.”

Harrogate Town kick-off their FA Cup campaign at Bridlington Town in the Second Qualifying Round.

The Seasiders, who play in the Northern Counties East League premier division, have beaten Silsden, Guisborough Town and Newcastle Benfield to reach this stage of the competition for the first time in 13 years.

Ben Parker and Lloyd Kerry are the only absentees from Town manager Simon Weaver’s squad.

Pickering Town are seeking a fifth consecutive win at Clipstone in the Northern Counties East League premier division.

Manager Paul Marshall is still not happy with his side’s performances but the Pikes will go top of the table if they win their games in hand.

Former Hull City midfielder Jules Gabbiadini has yet to receive his international clearance and both midfielder Lewis Taylor and captain Niall Tilsey are unavailable.

Marshall said: “We are picking up points but our performances are not good enough. I’m too long in the tooth to think we are ‘brilliant’ just yet. We are still a million miles from where I think we should be.”

Martin Powell will not be applying for the job of Harrogate Railway manager on a permanent basis.

Assistant-manager Powell stepped into the breach following the resignation of Lee Ashforth and took charge for the first time as Railway lost 3-0 at Liversedge in midweek.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Barton Town Old Boys, Powell said: “It would be wrong for me to apply. I have only been assistant since the start of the season and a coach last season. I can’t get the players in we need just yet.”

Selby Town host Nostell Miners Welfare tomorrow in Northern Counties East League division one.

Town lost 4-1 at Grimsby Borough on Tuesday night and have scored only seven goals in seven games so far this season.

Mid-table Knaresborough Town entertain second-placed Hallam.

Meanwhile, a minute’s silence will be held at tomorrow’s Premier League game between Hull City and Arsenal in memory of Daniel Wilkinson who died of a heart attack playing for non-league side Shaw Lane on Monday night.

Wilkinson, 24, started his career at Hull City before playing for clubs including Harrogate Town, North Ferriby United, Scarborough Athletic, Goole Town and Rushall Olympic.

Clubs in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, in which Shaw Lane play, are also observing a minute’s silence at fixtures this week.
