Pre-season friendly: Tadcaster Albion 2 Premier League XI 2

(Albion won on penalty shoot-out)

IT needed a penalty shoot-out to decide the charity match at the i2i Stadium which raised cash for the Flood Fund and Tadcaster Albion's new stand.

The Brewers opened the scoring in the 24th minute, with Tom Corner deftly touching in Dan Clayton's precise cross.

Nine minutes later, Albion were two up after Liam Shepherd struck an out-swinging screamer into the top corner, but it had to be that good to defeat former York City goalkeeper Michael Ingham.

In the second half, however, the former Premier League stars pulled things back.

They scored from a corner at the start at the start of the second half and were level in the 67th minute when Richard Cresswell's fierce cross-shot went in off a post.

With the match ending at 2-2, fans bayed for a penalty shoot-out.

After several impressive penalties sandwiched between a couple of decent saves, Casey Stewart's spot-kick save gave Steven Jeff the chance to wrap up victory for the Brewers.
