FORMER York College midfielder Ronaldo Vieira Nan has signed a two-year professional contract with Leeds United.
Nan, whose talent was also nurtured by the York-based i2i Football Academy, was named the Sim Balk Lane-based college's Football Development Centre's Player of the Year in 2015.
He was subsequently signed as a scholar by the Championship outfit last September, having previously been on Benfica's books.
Born in Guinea-Bissau, Nan left Portugal in 2011 and moved with his family to the UK in search of a career in the English game.
He is regarded as a promising central midfielder, who possesses an abundance of pace, strength and power, along with great awareness on the ball.
Nan's twin brother Romario Vieira also featured as a substitute for York College during Wednesday's 3-2 English Colleges' FA Cup final defeat to Milton Keynes.
