TADCASTER Albion are looking to sign off their stay in the Northern Counties East League by adding the League Cup to the premier division title secured last week.

The Brewers showed no signs of a hangover as they beat Albion Sports 2-1 in the semi-final at the i2i stadium in midweek.

The visitors, who finished 11th in the table, went ahead through Lewis Morgan four minutes before half-time.

But a swift response saw Tom Corner equalise just before the interval

There was little between the sides at the start of the second half but Josh Greening scored his 26th goal of the season in the 73rd minute to give Tadcaster the edge.

In the final, the Brewers will meet Cleethorpes, who defeated Bridlington 1-0, on Saturday, May 14 at Garforth.

Cleethorpes finished third in the table and were described as one of the best teams in the premier division by Brewers boss Billy Miller.

He said: "Cleethorpes have been the closest to us in games this season. They beat us in the 88th minute at their place and held us to a goalless draw at ours."
