POCKLINGTON Town clinched promotion to the York Minster Engineering League premier division following their 5-0 victory at Cliffe on Saturday. They will be joined by Malton and Norton in the top flight, providing the Ryedale side avoid defeat at Easingwold Town by five goals or more.

A point from that game will see Malton & Norton take the division one title and that should be manageable following their 4-0 victory away at Easingwold this weekend.

Simon Reeves (2), Matty Reeves and Liam Preston scored to gain Malton and Norton their all-important victory.

It looks like being an agonising season for Sporting Knavesmire, who sit on 41 points along with Malton & Norton and Pocklington, but who look set to miss out on promotion due to due goal difference.

Danny Smith bagged a brace to put Knavesmire 2-0 up against Rawcliffe, but the visitors struck back to make it 2-2 by half-time.

A final rally in the last quarter of an hour saw Alex Dale, Ryan Gothard and Jake Duckworth all find the net as Sporting ran out 5-2 winners.

Danny Cates (2), Dale Holding, Regwan Miah, Dylan Henderson and Dave Ingle were on target for Heslington in their 6-3 triumph at Poppleton United. Will Edmond (2) and Charlie Jackson replied.

Kirkbymoorside clinched promotion to division one with a 5-1 success over Hamilton Panthers. Josh Butler (2), Danny Butterworth, Jason Brown and Karl Richardson grabbed the Moorsiders’ goals with Matthew Walters replying.

Division three champions Wilberfoss maintained their unbeaten record as they wrapped up their season with a 5-0 win over Jorvik Blades.

Jed Vale fired in a hat-trick to add to goals from Simon Houlder and Rich Simpson. Selby Olympia defeated Bubwith 8-2.

Heworth Green’s 1-1 draw at Howden was enough to crown them division four champions as the Raj failed to pick up any points from their trip to AFC Crayke.

Lee Jacob struck for The Raj but a penalty from Tom Hilling and strikes from Ian Thornton and Liam Pearson were enough to give Crayke the points.

Jake Raistrick (3), Ryan Glover, Luke Curtis, Dylan Barnett and Declan Coulthard fired Malt Shovel to a 7-1 success over LNER Buildres, for whom Andy Hurren grabbed a consolation.
