HARROGATE Town won't know until Wednesday night what they will need to do on Saturday to clinch a Vanarama National League North play-off place.

Victory over AFC Fylde at Kellamergh Park on Saturday would have clinched a top-five place for them but they lost 2-1 to the Coasters in front of 660 fans, Danny Rowe (41 minutes) and James Hardy (79) netting for the hosts before Warren Burrell replied in the first minute of added time.

AFC Fylde and North Ferriby United are already assured of a play-off berth, and they will be joined by two from Nuneaton Town, who are at Bradford Park Avenue on Wednesday, Harrogate Town or Boston United.

In the Toolstation Northern Counties East League, Selby Town sealed a top-half finish in Division One, defeating visitors Hall Road Rangers 1-0.

Chris Jackson got the only goal after 28 minutes, lifting Town above Yorkshire Amateur into tenth.

Knaresborough Town's home match against AFC Emley attracted the day's second-best attendance in the section of 174.

However, there were no goals between eight-placed Town and the Huddersfield visitors, who are fourth and have a play-off tie at home to Hallam.

In the Premier Division, Pickering Town, who are sixth, drew 1-1 at ninth-placed Barton Town Old Boys, who took the lead in the 75th minute via Tom Darwood, Ryan Cooper equalising four minutes later.

In Evo-Stik Division One North, Scarborough Athletic lost 3-0 at promotion hopefuls Burscough, while Kendal Town won 3-1 at home to second-from-bottom Harrogate Railway Athletic.
