HARROGATE Town have secured a place in the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-offs after a 0-0 home draw against fellow hopefuls Boston United.
Paul Clayton's overhead kick was cleared off the line in the first half, while Jordan Thewlis was foiled when one-on-one with United keeper Fabian Speiss in the second.
However, it needed a goal-line clearance from Carl Piergianni's looping header to preserve a draw for fourth-placed Town against fifth-placed United.
Harrogate Railway Athletic, already relegated from Evo-Stik Division One North, were hammered 5-0 by eighth-placed visitors Trafford, goals coming from Connor Martin, Chris Palmer, Aaron Burns, Liam Davies and Mark Derbyshire.
Scarborough Athletic, whose pitch survived an 8am inspection, went down 1-0 at home to Lancaster City, Craig Carney getting the only goal in the 57th minute.
Knaresborough Town's play-off hopes are as good as over after their 4-2 defeat at Hallam in Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One.
Paul Atkinson gave ninth-placed Town the lead with a good finish in the 19th minute but they were 3-1 down before Fraser Lancaster netted in the 63rd minute against fellow play-off hopefuls Hallam.
Steve Brammer, Jamie Lipka, Michael Blythen and James Reed, whose 75th-minute strike finished Town off, were on target for the hosts.
Nick Thompson was among the scorers for 11th-placed Selby Town, who triumphed 2-1 at second-bottom Rossington Main.
But Pickering Town's match at home to Rainworth Miners' Welfare in the Premier Division was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
