AMBITIOUS non-League club Tadcaster Albion have unveiled plans for a new stadium.
Computer-generated designs have been produced by the title-chasing Northern Counties East League premier division outfit which show a main stand down one side of the pitch, smaller stands, with seats, behind both goals, and terrace areas opposite the main stand behind the dugouts.
The proposal is to rebuild their current i2i Stadium on Ings Lane but the club - recently hit again by flooding from the nearby River Wharfe - have said that if they were to relocate, the designs, which incorporate a two-storey clubhouse, would stay the same.
A statement on the Albion website said: "Following the devastating floods, we are looking to rebuild the i2i Stadium. A huge two-storey clubhouse is on the agenda.
"The plan would be to have several function rooms on the first floor, two bar areas, educational classrooms, corporate hospitality overlooking the pitch, seating in the main stand incorporated into the clubhouse and raised seating behind both goals with standing areas at the side of the dugouts.
"It would be great to have a footbridge (over the river) too.
"If we decide to relocate, the plan would be pretty much the same."
