HUNTINGTON Rovers returned to the top of the York Minster Engineering League Premier division after a hard fought 2-0 victory over Tadcaster Magnets.

James Edmund and Chris Dyson scored to give Rovers the three points, with their keeper Drew Brabbs in superb form to deny Magnets in a crucial period of the match.

Dunnington moved up to third in the league after a convincing 8-2 triumph over York RI, for whom Darren Sellars and Sean Stockdale were on target.

George Kirk and Mikey Brown struck for Brooklyn at Church Fenton but it wasn't enough as the White Horse side gained a 3-2 victory in the end.

Osbaldwick and Harrison Signs played out a goalless draw.

Strensall remain top of division two after Danny Mason fired home to give them a 1-0 win at Bishopthorpe. Barmby Moor are in second spot after taking three points following their 2-0 victory over Hamilton Panthers.

In division three, Huby United upset leaders Moor Lane as goals from Tom Green, Jake Petty and Ewan McNab gave them a 3-0 success.

Daniel Witcombe scored for Rufforth but they went down 4-1 to second placed South Milford.

In division four, The Raj FC dropped their first points of the season as Nick Evans' strike for Pollington resulted in a 1-1 stalemate.

Leaders Heworth Green continued their winning streak with a 3-1 triumph at LNER Builders.

Freddie Robinson and Jericho Keys (2) found the net for Heworth with Dean Machin replying for Builders.

Adam Harrison gave New York WMC a 1-0 half-time lead but Wetherby Athletic overpowered them in the second period to finish victorious 3-1.
