PICKERING Town suffered last minute agony as Connor Sellars struck to give Worksop Town a 3-2 victory at the Recreation Ground.

Manager Paul Marshall's men had got off to the perfect start in the Northern Counties East League premier division clash, Ged Dalton netting in the fourth minute after dribbling through the Worksop defence.

It was the start of a spell of dominance from the Pikes, who missed a number of chances and saw Ryan Cooper hit a post from close range.

But Worksop themselves failed to take advantage of an open goal as the half progressed and Pickering went in 1-0 up at the break.

Marshall had to make a change at half-time as Niall Tilsley was forced off through injury and was replaced by Callum Richardson.

Pikes keeper Peter Lawrie was unfortunate as Worksop equalised through Kyle Jordan five minutes after the restart but they should have gone back in front only for Nathan Kamara to miss two gilt edged chances.

Kamara was replaced by Calum Ward but the visitors took the lead when Jordon Cooke scored from a corner.

Their lead lasted 15 minutes and Pickering levelled when Matthew Turnbull also netted from a flag kick.

That looked the way it would finish until Sellars scored with time running out to hand Worksop three points.

Selby Town ended a run of three defeats as they won 2-0 at Worsborough Bridge Athletic in NCEL division one. Second half goals from Chris Jackson, in the 68th and 90th minute, pushed the Robins into 14th place.

Gary Collier's goal 12 minutes from time rescued a point for Knaresborough Town at AFC Mansfield. Chris Timons gave the home side the advantage in the 17th minute but Collier stepped up to secure a 1-1 draw.

Daniel Thirkell's last minute goal ensured a draw for Harrogate Railway in Evo-Stik League first division north. His goal at Station View cancelled out Steven Hollingsworth's goal on the stroke of half-time for visitors Brighouse Town.

A late show also brought Scarborough Athletic a victory.

Their game at Trafford looked to be heading for a stalemate until Steven Mallory netted in the 87th minute as the Seadogs claimed a 1-0 success.

Harrogate Town will not be in the hat for the FA Cup first round draw.

The Wetherby Roaders were beaten 4-1 at home by Grimsby Town. Town took the lead as Brendon Daniels, assisted by Dominic Knowles, grabbed his 13th goal of the season.

But Grimsby replied through Omar Bogle, Nathan Arnold and a Padraig Arnold brace to bag a first round berth.
