HESLINGTON maintained their impressive start in division one of the York Minster Engineering League with a 3-1 triumph at Rawcliffe.

Danny Cates and James Hughes put Heslington in front and Stuart Jenkins grabbed a goal for the home side before Cates killed the game off as full-time approached.

Tockwith beat Cliffe 7-1 to stay in second.

Adam Fairhurst struck four with Chris Newby bagging a brace and Chris Clark putting the icing on the cake.

Pocklington Town are level on points with Tockwith after a 3-2 win over York St John.

Simon Reeves gave Malton & Norton a half-time lead at Poppleton but Matthew Dale levelled with just eight minutes remaining.

Reeves took only 45 seconds to restore Malton's lead and push them up to fourth.

Hemingbrough United won 4-1 at Sporting Knavesmire, whose injury crisis saw them reduced to ten men early in the game. Alex Dale scored a penalty for the home side.

Strensall and Barmby Moor occupy the top two positions in division two and the sides both took a point after a 2-2 draw.

Jack Bell and Danny Mason rattled the net for Strensall with Olly Cooper and Liam Booth on target for the home side.

Darren Brandon, John Cavanagh and Chris Bowles gave Stamford Bridge a 3-2 win at Bishopthorpe United and Haxby United defeated Hamilton Panthers 2-1.

Division three leaders Moor Lane made it three wins out of four with a 4-2 home success over Huby United.

Chris McClusky (2) and Patrick Zimer gave the hosts a 3-1 half time advantage and Oliver Shimmin added a fourth in the second period. Tom Green struck both of Huby’s goals.

John Carr struck the only goal of the game as Rufforth United beat Civil Service and Si Houlder bagged a first half hat-trick as Wilberfoss defeated Jorvik Blades 6-2. Ben Thompson, Jonathon Parkin and Keith Meredith were also on target. Tim Godfrey and Joe Cox hit the target for Blades.

South Milford also won 6-2 at home to Bubwith FC.

Division Four leaders The Raj FC continued their good form with a 4-0 success at Wheldrake. Dan Hunter gave The Raj the lead before the break and then added his second after the restart.

Tom George hit a fantastic 45-yard curling strike before Arron Johnson struck in the last minute to wrap up the win.

Two 25-yard strikes from Mark Harrison and Kenny Charman were the highlight of New York WMC's 4-2 victory over LNER Builders. Dean Farrar and John Dale also struck for the home side.

Alex Hunt, Chris Barker and Mark Baguley were on target for Pollington as they went down 4-3 at home to Huntington FC. AFC Crayke gained a 3-2 win at Wetherby Athletic.
