TADCASTER ALBION swept through the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 3-1 win at Northern League Hebburn Town.

Goals from Jimmy Beadle, Paddy Miller and a Liam Ormsby penalty booked a clash with North West Counties side Colne FC at Ings Lane on August 29.

The Brewers went ahead on 11 minutes when Beadle struck it from 30 yards into the top right corner.

Josh Greening was just off target on the 19th minute after a surging run from Paddy Miller and Taddy should have extended their lead four minutes later when Greening's side-footed shot was saved after he found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

Leading 1-0 at the break, Tadcaster scored twice in the opening 13 minutes after the restart to wrap up the tie.

Their second came from a free-kick that Miller glided into a dangerous position and missed everyone to nestle in the back of the net. The third came from another set-piece.

Nick Black's power and determination drew the opposing defender into a foul and aOrmsby stepped up an stroked the penalty into the bottom right corner - sending the keeper the wrong way. It was three penalties in three games for the midfielder.

Hebburn scored a consolation goal as Josh Allan deflected Shaun Reay's shot away from Gary Stevens and into the net.

Pickering Town also cruised into the next round with a 4-0 victory over Thornaby at the Recreation Ground. The Pikes were two up at half-time through James Bennett and Ged Dalton.

Bennett added a second after the break through a penalty and Ryan Cooper added the fourth.

Selby Town put five past Grimsby Borough in Northern Counties East League division one. Dane Mortimer and Danny Bunch gave them a two goal lead after 12 minutes before Jacob Wilson reduced the deficit on 38 minutes.

Wilson would score again on 71 minutes but a brace from Ashley Hope and a Kingsley Wetherald strike helped the Robins to a 5-2 victory and pushed them up to second in the table.

Knaresborough Town saw off Westella VIP 2-1 while, in Evo-Stik first division north, Harrogate Railway drew 1-1 with Droylsden and Scarborough Athletic hammered New Mills 3-0.

A stoppage time goal from Dominic Knowles gave Harrogate Town a 2-1 win over Hednesford Town in National League North.
