THE York Minster Engineering Football League premier division season was completed with Dringhouses and Tadcaster Magnets playing twice in three days.

Houses were defeated 3-2 by Magnets despite goals from Cameron Mulhearn and Jordan Outerbridge.

Adam Ubakis, Thomas Marshall and Jordan Willoughby struck the match-winning goals for Taddy.

Dringhouses then gained an impressive 4-1 success over second-placed Old Malton St Mary’s.

The win sees them finish in seventh position, ahead of Magnets who won 3-2 at Poppleton.

Alex Janes and Matt Dale struck for relegated Poppleton in their farewell appearance in the top flight.

In reserve ‘A’, old rivals Dunnington and Wigginton Grasshoppers squared up and the black and white striped team won out.

Despite being 1-1 at half-time, a goal fest in the second half saw Dunnington emerge comfortable 7-3 winners.

On target for Grasshoppers were James Sutton, Jordan Holt and Michael Watson, the veteran slotting home a penalty late in the game.

Danny Cates bagged a hat-trick for York RI as they drew 3-3 with Riccall United.

Richard Sowden, Jamie England and Mike Braithwaite found the net for Riccall.

Adam Beavers collected a hat-trick for reserve ‘B’ champions Church Fenton White Horse as they beat Brooklyn 4-1 to complete their ascendency to reserve ‘A’.

Chris Thompson hit their fourth goal with David Thompson replying for Brooklyn.

Luke Durham, Sean Gallagher and Tom Grundy found the target for Cliffe in reserve ‘C’ as they ran out 3-0 winners at F1 Racing.

Dec Richardson scored twice and Chris Dowson once as Civil Service took a point from a 3-3 draw with Bishop Wilton.
