WITH the top four teams in the York Minster Engineering Football League top tier without a game or on cup duty, eyes fell on the big game between Tadcaster Magnets and Huntington Rovers.

Magnets were looking to arrest a slump in form and quickly went 1-0 up but were pegged back just before half-time when Chris Dyson equalised.

Three second-half goals from Lee Bunce, Dyson and man-of-the-match Joe Milner ensured the points went Huntington’s way and moved Rovers up to fifth in the table.

Sixth-placed Dringhouses made hard work of despatching relegated Easingwold Town, relying on a late James Robinson goal to secure a 2-1 victory.

Dave Watson had initially scored a free-kick to put ‘Houses in front before Easingwold pulled level on the stroke of half-time.

Church Fenton White Horse climbed to seventh with a 3-0 win over Poppleton United thanks to goals from James Barrett, John Langrick and Lewis Beecher.

Terrington Glory won out by the same scoreline at Harrison Signs courtesy of strikes from Johnny Brown and Jamie Miller, plus an own goal.

F1 Racing are celebrating promotion to the premier division after the division one leaders saw off the challenge of St Clement’s 4-1.

George Trifan, Adam Tiffany, Adam Love and Chris Dempsey all found the net for F1, who now need just two points from their remaining three games to ensure they are promoted as champions.

Mikey Brown and Kristian Wilkinson found the net for Brooklyn as they moved up to second place with a 2-1 win at Pocklington Town.

Total Sports looked like picking up a much needed win against Tockwith.

They led 2-1 with a minute to go, but a late strike ensured that the sides shared the spoils.

An own goal and a Daniel Hall strike made up the Total Sports’ tally.
