RICCALL United made the most of Old Malton St Mary’s cup duty to go three points clear at the York Minster Engineering League premier division summit.
They dished out a 6-1 hiding to visitors York RI led by Gary Collier’s four-goal haul, supplemented by efforts from Ian Beckram and an own goal.
Third-placed Dunnington won 3-2 at Copmanthorpe thanks to goals from Robert Chipps, Callum Richardson and Josh Tattersall. Daniel Pedras and Robin Bedford replied.
Wigginton posted a second 2-1 defeat of the season on Tadcaster Magnets, who led after two minutes through a Sam Harrison penalty.
Three minutes later Jamie Wilstrop’s curling free-lick was fired home by Jordan Holt to bring the sides level.
Tadcaster forced Wigginton keeper Michael Clancy into two stunning saves.
With the game looking set to end all-square, Josh Luckhurst fed Wilstrop who slotted home in the second minute of stoppage-time.
Church Fenton rattled hosts Terrington Glory 6-3. The losers’ haul was shared between Tom Paley, Ben Richardson and Alex Yates.
Huntington Rovers opened the scoring at Osbaldwick with an early goal from stand-in left-back Neale Holmes, who raced the length of the pitch for an outstanding strike.
That prefaced further goals from Lee Bunce (2) and John James to wrap up a 4-1 win.
Harrison Signs toppled visitors Poppleton 2-0 in a battle of the lowly sides.
After a goalless first half, Ben Ballantyne broke the deadlock with an 18-yard strike before a Neil Fryirs’ free-kick was powered into the roof of the net.
In division one, Chris Rowan bagged a hat-trick in St Clement’s 4-2 victory over Total Sports.
Daniel Hall and Matthew Tasker replied.
Division Two saw Sporting Knavesmire defeat Thorpe United 4-0.
New signing Dan Owers bagged a brace with Jake Duckworth and Charlie Clamp also on the mark.
Joe Davison and Danny Mason struck for Strensall at Ouseburn United, who won 3-2.
