SELBY Town's incredible knockout run came to an end with a 4-2 FA Vase defeat by Seaham Red Star.

The Robins were unbeaten in six cup clashes this season under manager Dave Ricardo before Saturday's first round exit at Flaxley Road.

The visitors led 3-0 at the break thanks to two goals from David Palmer and a Liam Bryde strike.

Matthew Turnbull pulled a goal back on 52 minutes, but Dean Nicholson added Red Star's fourth before a Chris McCabe own goal in the last minute made it 4-2.

Tadcaster Albion progressed with a 3-2 victory at Winsford United as both sides finished with ten men.

The Brewers fell behind to Ryan Matthews' 11th-minute goal only for Carl Stewart to equalise three minutes before the break.

Stewart then had a penalty saved after the Winsford keeper had been red-carded.

George Bissett gave the visitors the lead with a bullet header from a corner on 78 minutes and Josh Greening all-but booked a round two berth with the third goal two minutes later Matthew Turney made it 3-2 in the 90th minute before Albion's Denny Ingram was dismissed.

Chris Batchelor netted a last minute leveller as Pickering Town snatched a 3-3 draw at Athersley Recreation in the Northern Counties East League premier division.

Lewis Taylor gave the Pikes an 18th minute lead, which the visitors held until the 68th minute when Josh Moore equalised.

Moore scored again on 76 minutes and, although Joel Ramm equalised a minute later, an 80th-minute own goal appeared to have handed the points to the hosts before Batchelor's intervention.

In division one, Knaresborough Town went down 3-1 at Penistone Church, their only consolation a 72nd minute own goal.

Harrogate Town climbed to 13th in Conference North with a 2-1 win over Stockport County at Wetherby Road.
