DIVISION one leaders F1 Racing moved into top gear as they humbled Hamilton Panthers 13-1 in the York Minster Engineering Football League.

The visitors led 4-1 at the break following a Danny Penrose brace and strikes from Jason McCloud and Chris Dempsey.

A one-sided second period saw Penrose complete his hat-trick and Dempsey increase his own tally to four goals.

Jericho Keys weighed in with a brace and there were further efforts from Adam Tiffany, Adam Love and Jamie Wheeler.

Second-placed Malton & Norton scored an important 3-1 win at third-placed Heslington thanks to goals from Matty Reeves, Simon Reeves and Liam Preston. Chris Dixon found the net for the hosts.

Amos Laverack gave Total Sports United the lead at home to Hemingbrough, but Luke Zacharenko levelled before the break.

A costly mistake by the Brough keeper minutes from time let in James MacQuarrie to wrap up the points for Total Sports.

Sam Hashmi and Sam Kirk fired hat-tricks as York St John defeated visitors St Clement’s 11-4. Ollie Scott (2), Earl Bell, Kieran Mitham and James Headley also made the scoresheet for the students.

Rawcliffe overhauled former division two leaders Thorpe United 7-2 to steal their perch.

Reece Chappelow hit two penalties to give the hosts a 2-1 half-time lead, and their superiority was confirmed in the second period as Simon Wilson hit a hat-trick and Louis Howarth a brace to send Rawcliffe into pole position.

Haxby United returned to winning ways as a Kieren Harris double strike and a James Gilbertson goal gifted them a 3-0 win over Strensall.

Tom Knowles’ goal for Bishop Wilton was cancelled out by Barmby Moor’s Josh Lockwood in a 1-1 draw.
